An author, entrepreneur, investor, and tech leader, Bjorn Beam has broad experience working on a spectrum of projects and ventures related to technology, cybersecurity, economics, and corporate intelligence.

As a CIA operations officer, he ran intelligence operations against some of the most difficult-to-penetrate countries, including North Korea’s missile and nuclear program. Bjorn has also served as an innovation manager, creating pioneering learning experiences for the continuing education programs at MIT, the University of Chicago, and Chicago Booth. This work included creating a minimum viable product AI chatbot to help University of Chicago students understand cybersecurity through the lens of an intelligence service. Bjorn also enjoys introducing new modes of engagement for his clients. 

Bjorn is extremely well-networked among leading US intelligence and national security experts, including former Chiefs of Stations in Madrid, Kabul, Lima, Mexico City; a former Director of National Intelligence; several senior state department officials; and CEOs of leading Washington defense firms.
